Alamance Foods is looking for a Warehouse Clerk to join our team. The Warehouse Clerk will play a crucial role in our operations, handling various tasks including tracking shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills, be proficient in using Microsoft Teams, and have experience with Bills of Lading (BOL).
Key Accountabilities/ Outcomes
- Track and log all incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse software and BOL.
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams for effective communication and coordination within the team.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Understand how to read the schedule specifically for item changeovers.
- Warehouse Clerk will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on providing excellent customer service to drivers and visitors.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Proven experience as a warehouse clerk or similar role.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with warehouse software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Bills of Lading (BOL) and shipping/receiving documentation.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams for communication and coordination.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
