What the Role Offers - Warehouse & Materials Supervisor


The Warehouse & Materials Supervisor will manage warehouse associates, monitoring work, and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment. Maintain warehouse inventory and perform the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distribution of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment at the company.


What You Need to Succeed


  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse.
  • Directly responsible for unloading product deliveries, staging products based on customer orders.
  • Organizing and maintaining existing inventory in a compliant state.
  • Unpack and check materials received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods, rejected, and quarantine goods.
  • Operate and use power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment.
  • Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials, raw materials, release quarantine, rejected handling and disposition of materials and maintaining inventory in a compliant state.
  • Prepare and ship materials and/or finished goods.
  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Follow quality protocol by mitigating packing, shipping, and loading errors.
  • Palletize without damaging cartons and ensure customer pallets are in the best condition.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to meet goals and drive project to completion according to timelines.
  • Comply to all laboratory and manufacturing safety requirements and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company records and information.
  • Follow all safety regulations, Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and rules.
  • Comply with corporate HSE policies including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.


Required Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of relevant Warehouse Supervision-related experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical or related industry.
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2-year College/associate degree / specialized training is ideal and will be preferred.
  • Driver's license.


Physical Demands:


  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
  • Long periods of standing or sitting
  • Drive company van.

Mental Demands:


  • Interaction with all levels of management in multiple functional areas.
  • Self-starter, organized, keen attention to detail, and deadline-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Working Conditions:


  • This position is performed in a warehouse environment.
  • Loud noises such as forklift beeping is common.
  • Temperature and climate-controlled environment.


Estimated Base Salary: $71,000 - $81,000 / yearly DOE
