Description
Provide support to the Inventory Department. Receive in items as directed. Handle, unpack / pack, photograph, condition report art, antiquities and furniture received into the warehouse, passing the information on to Inventory (iLive) and Storage team for cataloguing. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Inventory Team 
  • Handle, unpack items in preparation for next inventory as required 
  • Assist with the physical aspect of setting up for an image of an item as needed 
  • Record the dimensions and conditions of an item as required 
  • Pack and store inventoried items as needed 
  • Scan property to ensure accurate inventory locations are always maintained 
  • Cataloguing and uploading images of items on Moveware and iLive 
  • Update data for object references, including the object description, uploading images, adding object reference numbers and components as required, accurately and efficiently 
  • Proper handling, of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and fine furniture 
  • Preparation of condition checks and condition reports as needed 
  • Pack artworks, antiquities and fine furniture for transportation and storage 
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with a small crew 
  • Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job 
  • Support the Warehouse Team when needed, as directed by the Inventory Controller and Warehouse Manager 
  • Support Inventory Controller with managing inventory  
General
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures, and all other Company policies and procedures in place
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures 
  • To act at all times in the best interests of Lawrence Fine Art Services (Cadogan Tate Group), its customers and its employees  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma / GED required
  • Two years of logistical, warehousing and art handling experience, including packing
  • A knowledge of storage structure in the warehouse so that when goods are moved for safety the new locations are correctly amended and noted
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations
  • Impeccable communication and multitasking skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to accurately execute detailed paperwork and condition reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal computer systems – Moveware / iLive (training will be provided for both)
  • Team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable in a results-driven workplace
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Experience with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, jbars, dollies and other necessary warehouse equipment
  • Ability to safely lift 70 pounds and maneuver objects of substantial size and weight on a daily basis without damage to object or person, including the ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart
  • Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead
