General Description: H&S Wholesale primary function is to serve the needs of H&S Energy LLC network of retail markets in Northern and Southern California. The professional in this role will utilize their previous leadership skills, strong understanding of business analytics, product knowledge, and change management to bring continual process improvement to our company.
Core Job Responsibilities
Operations:
- Direct and supervise the operations of the distribution center. Monitor all fulfillment activities including receiving, shipping, order filling and inventory control.
- Direct and supervise all distribution center departments including but not limited to Logistics, AP, AR, HR, IT, Sales, etc.
- Develop, lead, and implement strategic and tactical objectives in direct alignment with corporate goals and annual budget.
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Oversee all warehouse facility needs to include Opening & Closing Hours and Security.
- Hiring and retaining great people while recognizing great work and celebrating often.
- Maintaining appropriate staffing levels, keeping in mind payroll, expenses, and future needs.
- Develop and implement action plans in collaboration with Senior Management and corporate safety/risk department to provide safe operating environment for employees and vendors in line with corporate policies.
- Reduce or eliminate shrink by managing inventory processes to minimize risk. Direct all inventory and reconciliation processes and be responsible for inventory management.
- Maintain compliance to all federal, state and local regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain vendor relationships and conduct replenishment buying aligned with required inventory to meet customer and company demands in alignment with Corporate Buyer.
People:
- Direct Warehouse Team in the efficient and safe operation of fulfillment activities.
- Coach and mentor leadership for optimal
- Develop effective business partnerships with all internal department leaders and corporate staff. Facilitate cross functional activities to meet or exceed established annual operating plans.
- Collaborate with H&S Energy, Category Management team and collective chain of stores.
- Collaborate with Human Resource team when necessary, in the design of employee performance development plans.
- Establish policies and procedures to increase employee retention and improve employee relations.
- Establish and maintain a positive work culture that drives accountability and fosters a team & customer-focused mindset.
- Partner with Human Resources team to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet business demands, provide guidance and consultation to managers and supervisors pertaining to employee relations issues, interpretation of company policies and procedures, and compliance to applicable employment laws.
- Labor cost management and payroll approval with Corporate Accounting Team
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 plus years leading warehouse fulfillment team in food, beverage, and grocery environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
- Excellent Microsoft Office & Excel skills
- Must be 21+ to apply
- Be able to sit/stand and/or walk for 8 hours at a time without any issues.
- May be required to travel as requested, not more than 10% of time.
