POSITION SUMMARY

The warehouse worker will stage, load, and unload finished product and raw materials and stock and maintain warehouse inventory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assembling parts for finished goods packaging
  • Packaging finished products for inventory / shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling)
  • Staging finished products for loading
  • Loading finished products onto truck
  • Unloading raw materials from truck
  • Moving raw materials to warehouse storage
  • Moving waste from assembly line to dumpsters or scrap bins
  • Being responsible for quality control
  • Operating within standard operating procedures and Safety Standards
  • Assisting in shop however necessary
  • Operating forklift, hand truck, pallet jack
  • Completing daily logs
  • Communicating with operators from other departments or shifts
  • Cleaning and maintaining work area
  • Turning off and locking out equipment when not in use
  • Performing back-up for shipping and receiving
  • Maintaining material supply adhering to inventory level set forth by Operations Manager
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of related experience working in similar industry
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and hand tools
  • Ability to be a team player and meet deadlines

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
