Summary:
As a fast growing e-commerce company, our fulfillment network delivers thousands of packages to Yami’s customers everyday. We are seeking an Operations Manager who is passionate and highly self-motivated to join us! You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire fulfillment center, including safety, quality, productivity, and efficiencies in order to meet customer expectations and deliver required performance within our site. You will also drive strategic plans and lead improvement projects that ensure operational goals are met in the most cost effective manner. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with the opportunity to coach and develop your team, as well as contribute ideas for the overall success of Yami’s fulfillment network.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Lead efforts in maintaining a healthy, safe, and clean working environment in compliance with company policy and OSHA regulations
Manage the fulfillment center’s productivity, quality, efficiency, scheduling, maintenance, inventory, and other inbound/outbound functions in order to meet operational targets and ensure a positive customer experience
Engage in budget planning and management; work closely with supporting teams (HR/SCM) to perform HC forecast and S&OP implementation
Conduct staff meetings and headcount reviews, enabling scalability and flexibility to achieve productivity targets for business growth needs
Implement performance review and feedback process, training and development programs and best practices, to build a high-performing organization and a positive work environment and culture
Collect data and monitor operational metrics on an ongoing basis; utilize Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools to identify opportunities for processes and system optimization to enhance efficiency and productivity
Ensure quality standards by monitoring and analyzing KPIs; utilize DMAIC and Kaizen methodologies to deep dive root causes and implement corrective solutions, maintain high inventory accuracy, and operation quality level of sustainability
Drive continuous improvement for cost reduction initiatives and eliminate operational defects and waste
Ensure employee safety related policies and processes are established and reinforced, ensure safety standards are met and the entire organization is committed to create a safe work environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
5+ years of management experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, eCommerce Supply Chain operation, or other relevant industries
Experience leading large and diverse teams
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, lean techniques, 5S, and WMS
Effective interpersonal skills; oral and written communication
Ability to manage complexity and establish priorities
Ability to extract and analyze data
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capability
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends if business requires
Willing to relocate if necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet the qualifications listed above
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
Experience working in an e-commerce fulfillment environment.
Ability to initiate Kaizen projects in order to generate continuous operational improvement
Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred
