About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in the Transportation and Warehousing industry. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility located in Channelview TX. Your main objective will be to ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be expected to lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve operational excellence and meet customer demands.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including 1+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Experience in the Transportation and Warehousing industry
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Forklift certification
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse associates, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products
- Ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and maintain a safe work environment for all associates
Skills:
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will utilize your strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team of warehouse associates. You will also use your knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management to ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out efficiently and accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will be essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular cycle counts. Additionally, experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and forklift certification will be beneficial in this role. Overall, your skills will be critical in achieving operational excellence and meeting customer demands.
