Job Overview Wayne State University seeks a collaborative leader who is a proactive communicator and tireless connector to serve as the inaugural Vice President for Enterprise Planning and Operational Excellence (VP). The VP will provide vision and University-wide leadership in the development of systems and processes that will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of planning, analysis, reporting, and decision-making across administrative and academic divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Create new institutional capacity to allocate resources and measure their use.
Lead the development of enterprise technology services and business intelligence tools.
Support the implementation of effective service management practices across the university.
Integrate and elevate local best practices into an enterprise function.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess:
A deep understanding of the academic mission.
High-level strategic analysis skills and proactive leadership abilities.
Active listening and empathetic leadership skills.
A commitment to collaboration and innovation.
A focus on impact and success.
