Improved Piping Products is hiring: Warehouse Supervisor in San Antonio

Regular schedule: M-F 9am-6pm (may be needed at other times)

Position Summary:

Administration and supervision of the distribution center including shipping, receiving, material management and collaboration with the production team.

Responsibilities:

• Follow and ensure compliance of IPP’s safety and Health Policies and Procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Understand and promote the Mission Statement.
• Schedule inbound shipments including import containers and communicate the schedule.
• Manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and negotiate rates.
• Maintain accuracy of inventory with cycle counts or other practices including annual physical inventory.
• Develop, implement and promote ongoing emphasis of operational efficiencies and excellent customer service.
• Ensure correct and timely shipping of all products in accordance with customer requirements.
• Inventory management between the warehouse and production.
• Assign priorities and personnel and track progress against order status.
• Manage personnel resources including hiring decisions, tasking, delegating duties, discipline and performance reviews for distribution team.
• Facility operations including maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
• Maintain expenses within budgeted levels as necessary.
• Complete other projects as needed for continuous improvement.
• Other duties as required.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in operations in a warehouse including distributions, receiving, and personnel. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Experience enforcing safety programs including knowledge of training and OSHA regulations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and a warehouse management system (WMS) preferably SAP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematic principles to perform calculations.
• Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritization, and time management.
• Independent thinker with the ability to analyze problems and deliver solutions.

Physical Conditions:

Position requires sitting, standing, and walking. Exposure to varying temperatures may occur in warehouse.
