Job Description
KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The Warehouse Supervisor is important to the operations of our company by participating in and overseeing the core functions of our warehouse operations including supervising warehouse employees and ensuring the property completion of tasks related to shipping/receiving, inventory management, data entry, material processing and warehouse operations. This is a working supervisor position and is involved in the detailed processing of aviation parts and materials in accordance with outlined procedures. Performs any other duties as requested by management.
Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:
· Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of warehouse and monitoring the safety, quality, and productivity of assigned dept and associates.
· Ability to lead by example and coach and develop associates.
· Supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
· Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
· Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by setting clear goals & objectives, providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
· Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
· Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
· Communicates regularly with Operations management, along with other departments.
· Ensures employees maintain an organized and clean warehouse and workstations.
· Participates in audits, inspections and quality assessments as directed.
· Must be a team player and work well across the organization.
· Leading change through employee engagement and process improvement leveraging Lean/Six Sigma.
· Perform other requests or duties as assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
· Strong communication, interpersonal skill, leadership, and conflict resolution
· Strong knowledge of modern warehousing practices and methods
· Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving.
· Change Management and/or Lean/Six Sigma experience.
· Knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications and databases
· Skill in oral and written communication
· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
· Ability to be highly organized and detail oriented.
· Ability to maintain records, review documents for accuracy, organize documents,
