Job Description
Summary: Under supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, sorting, shipping, and storing merchandise, plus transporting orders between the breakdown Department, and the Warehouse as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Sorting Department
- Read order sheets and pull merchandise accurately for delivery in an efficient manner.
- Sort according to order and package/palletize for shipping to stores.
- Label according to store location and complete paperwork by turning it into Manager to be data entered.
- Transport materials and items from receiving or sorting areas to storage or to other designated areas using a hand truck.
- Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment.
Picker Forklift Driver
- Transport materials and items from receiving or sorting areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.
- Place merchandise in the appropriate location and maintain Warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of materials.
- Pull merchandise according to order, label, and take to shipping area for distribution
- Performs warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations
- Notify the Manager of low inventory supply.
- Periodically, take inventory of material, equipment, and supplies in storage as assigned.
- Maintain an orderly, clean and safe working environment.
- Inspecting and maintaining forklifts on a daily basis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to learn or is currently skilled at operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks.
- Able to follow written instructions.
- Team player, to be able to work with the group to achieve goals.
- Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks.
- Prefer 1 to 3 years of verifiable related experience.
