Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations at our Miami (Corporate Office): 950 NW 72nd St, Suite 101, Miami, FL 33150. This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment, and provide product tracking. The warehouse manager requires a detail-oriented attitude in managing multiple facets of warehouse operations.

Objectives of this role

  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals and policies.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity and shipping.
  • Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary.
  • Meet regularly with warehouse staff to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.
  • Develop and maintain a company wide OSHA plan.
  • Perform fleet management, tracking, inspection and oversee scheduled maintenance.
  • Develop, communicate and maintain Warehouse Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indices (KPIs) to ensure maximum operating efficiency.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Technology associates degree or equivalent.
  • Ten or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing employees.
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
  • OSHA regulatory compliance training.
  • Quality control training with focus on Six Sigma, 5S and/or Lean Manufacturing.
  • License or ability to get a license for operating a forklift.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language (English & Spanish).

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this role, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear- possibly for prolonged periods at a time. The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder; and occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs in heavy boxes etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
