Our organization is seeking a highly experienced Director of Quality Systems and Compliance to lead our efforts in maintaining the health and compliance of our global systems. This individual will provide effective governance and tactical direction with the aim of ensuring the maintenance and improvement of quality system programs, policies, procedures, compliance, and best practices across division manufacturing sites, mergers, acquisitions, or other programs established within the business groups. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in quality management systems, with a deep understanding of international standards, regulations, and best practices.

Primary Purpose Provides Governance and tactical direction for Global systems health and Compliance. Maintains and improves quality system programs, policies, procedures, compliance, and best practices across division manufacturing sites, mergers and acquisitions or other programs established within the business groups.

Major Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring quality systems and/or programs for all global sites meet Generac quality standards.

Oversee and ensure adherence to standards and regulations and lead Global Governance and compliance.

Advises the VP of Quality and other senior staff on critical matters such as compliance risks at manufacturing plants, cross functions, and other potential emerging issues.

Maintain a strategic focus on instituting governance and other regulations and ensure proactive mitigation of risks.

Develop and implement a corporate-wide ISO9001 training and awareness program.

Primary Liaison with certification bodies and maintenance and renewals of Certifications.

Develop policies for Retention and Control of documents to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Oversee and Maintain Software and Systems and tools and engagement across business.

Develop, track and Improve KPI’s and bowlers say/do.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality management practices.

Ensure seamless QMS Integration and alignment across business due to Organic and Inorganic growth.

Strengthens Audit program and calendar and ensure ongoing compliance to internal and external standards.

Manage Change control process and maintain comprehensive Risk registry (eg: Line transfers, etc.).

Business Unit QMR Co-Responsibility and alignment with global QMS/ISO policies.

Maintain key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness and drive process improvement.

Prepare regular reports on ISO9001 compliance status for Management and Board oversight bodies.

Level 1 and 2 Procedural adequacy and standardization and monitor procedural compliance.

Minimum Job Requirements Education

BS in technical field or quality Management. Master’s degree preferred.

Certification / License: Lead Auditor certification required.

Work Experience

12+ years in Quality and Quality management principles.

5+ years leadership experience.

5+ years Auditing experience.

Detailed exposure in the specific field of appointment (e.g. quality experience for ISO 9001), including any audits.

Demonstrated ability to conduct Compliance monitoring and Compliance audit projects.

Demonstrated ability to provide effective compliance Training.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
