Regional Director of Business Development
Pavilion Healthcare is seeking a Regional Director of Business Development to join their team! As Regional Director of Business Development, you will lead a team of 5+ hospitals and community liaisons in a defined geographical territory representing many skilled nursing facilities. This role encompasses overseeing the execution of referral strategies, fostering the growth of referral partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Your leadership is instrumental in driving the success of our field sales team and the expansion of our referral network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a diverse team of hospital and community liaison teammates.
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive patient referrals and census growth across the assigned territory.
Analyze market data trends, referral patterns, health system referral workflow, and competitor activities to inform and refine robust growth strategies.
Create and maintain positive market growth by developing and sustaining referral relationships.
Ensure effective utilization of CRM systems for tracking referrals and executing on patient conversion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including facility leadership, operations, marketing, finance, and executive leadership to align goals and initiatives.
Provide regular reporting and updates on region performance, liaison performance, referral trends, and growth opportunities.
Plan and oversee the execution of community-based promotional events, open houses, and educational seminars.
Maintain an effective public relations program that serves the best interest of the territory and our communities.
Develop relationships with community assisted living, independent living, and senior centers to increase visibility.
Ensure that accurate financial records and cost reports are submitted in a timely fashion and within budget.
All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of post-acute sales processes, relationship management, and referral generation strategies.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care payer systems.
Proficiency in utilizing data and analytic trends to drive growth strategy and execution.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed to achieve growth objectives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in healthcare-related sales, business development, or similar roles required. Experience in post-acute sales leadership preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Valid driver’s license to travel up to 50%.
