Reporting to the Director, this position will serve as second-in-command at Express Newark, a socially engaged art and design center at Rutgers University – Newark. This position will take on a significant scope of responsibility in this newly created leadership role. Broadly, this position will function as the senior advisor and strategic partner to the Director, and share responsibility for the general operations of Express Newark.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:

Oversees organization, direction, and administration of various business services of Express NewarkAssist with the financial administration and operations of Express Newark, administrative oversight of Human Resources, Facilities, Visitor Services, Security, Special Events, Communications, Publications, and RegistrarsRepresent Express Newark to key stakeholders, including the Advisory Board, the Senior Management, and individual, foundation, and corporate donors, alongside the Creative DirectorPosition Status
