MPG is seeking a

Sr. Manager of Sports Card Production

to oversee our specialized Memorabilia department within the fast-paced trading card printing and packaging sector of the manufacturing industry. Reporting to the Director of Finishing & Packaging Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing team is equipped to meet the increasing demand for sports trading cards by developing and implementing process improvements that enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Safety, Security, and Quality : Foster a robust culture of safety, security, and quality in all manufacturing operations, ensuring a safe work environment that prioritizes the protection of personnel, product integrity, and environmental standards.

Operational Consistency : Ensure operational consistency across shifts through active engagement and oversight on the production floor.

Team Leadership : Manage, coach, and mentor the sports card production team, driving their success and maximizing their impact in production.

Strategic Advisory : Provide insights and recommendations to company leadership regarding production output and quality, aligning decisions with the strategic direction of the organization.

Process Development : Continuously enhance manufacturing processes to meet and exceed customer expectations in the sports trading card sector.

Efficiency and Quality Improvement : Implement initiatives that drive efficiency and quality improvements, positively impacting profitability and production output.

Cross-Functional Partnership : Collaborate with other departments on job estimates, costing, capacity planning, and equipment ROI calculations to align production goals with sales targets.

Customer Resolution : Oversee and resolve customer inquiries related to production and product quality.

Project Management : Lead manufacturing and automation projects as needed to drive operational improvements.

Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality, safety, productivity, and profitability within the sports card manufacturing department.

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards specific to the sports trading card market.

Innovation : Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in sports trading card production.

What You'll Bring

Experience : Minimum of 7+ years in operations management, preferably in the sports trading card or high-volume printing industry; a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

ERP Knowledge : Proficiency in utilizing ERP systems is essential; experience leading ERP implementations is preferred.

Team Development : Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor teams to achieve significant success.

Documentation Practices : Familiarity with ISO & QMS documentation practices, including developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Communication Skills : Excellent communication, relationship-building, and teamwork skills are a must.

Technical Expertise : Experience as a technical resource in a commercial printing environment, particularly related to sports trading cards, is preferred.

Production Experience : Background in high-volume, high-speed production settings.

Analytical Skills : Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making skills.

Technical Proficiency : Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
