Job Summary:
Human Resources Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing candidates online, updating job ads and conducting background checks. This position will play an important part in building a strong employer brand for the company to ensure we attract, hire and retain the most qualified employees.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all roles have updated and accurate job descriptions.
- Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms).
- Work with hiring managers to understand needs and timing; and ensure a smooth process.
- Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates.
- Screen incoming resumes and application forms.
- Interview candidates (via phone, video and in-person).
- Advertise job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally.
- Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Extend verbal and written job offers and answer queries about compensation and benefits.
- Monitor and track key HR recruiting metrics, including time to fill, time to hire and source of hire.
- Participate in job fairs and host in-house recruitment events.
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs.
- Act as a consultant to new hires and assist them with the onboarding process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
- Experience with sourcing techniques.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective Time Management skills.
- Effective negotiation skills for discussing salary and benefits with candidates.
- Sound judgement.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience preferred.
- 1-3 years previous experience in recruitment or HR
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
