Job Title: Staff Research Scientist Location: Mountain View, California (Hybrid) Salary: €200,000-€300,000 + Benefits Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Staff Research Scientist to join our clients research team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising advanced natural language processing models to solve complex language and text-based challenges. The role involves both theoretical and practical research to enhance our product capabilities, support the development of new applications, and push the boundaries of NLP in areas such as machine translation, question answering, and language generation. Key Responsibilities: Lead research efforts to develop, train, and deploy state-of-the-art NLP models. Design and experiment with innovative NLP techniques, leveraging deep learning, transformers, and language models. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate research into scalable solutions. Mentor junior researchers and data scientists, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development. Publish and present research findings in top-tier conferences and journals to advance knowledge in the NLP community. Drive efforts to stay at the forefront of NLP by exploring advancements in transformers, self-supervised learning, and large language models. Qualifications and Skills: PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, or a related field with a focus on NLP, or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of experience in NLP research, with a proven track record of impactful publications or contributions. Expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, SpaCy, NLTK).
