Position Overview:
We are looking for an energetic and personable Skilled Trades Recruiter to source, screen, and place candidates in marine and industrial trades roles. The ideal candidate will be organized, outgoing, and skilled at engaging with candidates and clients through phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings. Strong people skills and professionalism are key to ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing & Outreach:

  • Proactively source candidates skilled in marine and industrial trades through various channels, including job boards, social media, and referrals.
  • Engage with candidates via phone, text messaging, email, and social media platforms to explain job opportunities.
  • Conduct in-person interviews and phone screenings to assess candidates' qualifications for marine and industrial roles.

Candidate Placement:

  • Match qualified candidates with appropriate job orders based on skill sets and client requirements.
  • Manage the candidate experience throughout the hiring process, from initial contact to onboarding.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, ensuring they feel supported and well-informed throughout the recruiting process.
  • Interact professionally with clients to fully understand and meet their staffing needs.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and progress using our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Follow up with candidates on application status, interviews, and job placements.
  • Ensure all candidate documentation is properly completed and filed.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, text, and social media.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Professional demeanor with candidates and clients.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and social media recruiting tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of marine and industrial sectors is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

  • Must work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to engage and connect with candidates and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
