Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director – Food Service to lead our sales efforts within the food service industry. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and build strong relationships with distributors, broker partners, internal and external sales teams, and other key stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the food service market, and a passion for delivering value to customers. This role will be based in either Seattle, WA or Chicago, IL and will require frequent travel, up to 35%.

Sales Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and penetrate target markets within the food service industry.
Multi-level and cross-department engagement:
Ability to work with multi-levels and cross-department of the customer relationship as well as internal company to drive strategy and results.
Market Analysis:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, competitive trends, and growth opportunities, informing product development and sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with food service operators, distributors, and other key accounts, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their business needs.
Product Promotion:
Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to create promotional strategies, sales materials, and product presentations to support sales efforts and drive brand awareness.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare regular reports on key metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop and manage budgets:
Relating to growth goals and deploy funds efficiently and effectively in a start-up environment.
Training and Development:
Provide training, guidance, and support to sales team members to enhance their selling skills, product knowledge, and customer service abilities.
Industry Engagement:
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with key stakeholders, showcase products, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $135k to $165k.

Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)
Bachelor’s degree emphasizing Sales or Marketing, or equivalent business experience is required
5+ years’ minimum, preferably 10 years in food service sales experience.
Strong experience in the development of annual business plans, sales forecasts and reports, and budget management.
Proficiency in sales management software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, verbal/written communication, work organization, influence management, and contract negotiation skills
Ability to develop a sales vision, strategy, development, and drive execution.
Demonstrated track record of leadership and ability to lead and influence; strong partnership skills with a history of collaborating across organizational boundaries, working with and influencing others.
Ability to travel 35%+, ground and air
A valid driver’s license.
Preferred education and experience
Master’s degree in Business or Marketing
Experience working within the Seafood/COP food service segment
Confident storyteller, someone with demonstrated experience taking a lot of information and distilling into concise and impactful campaign briefs.
Seafood background a plus, including a working knowledge of Alaska fisheries.
Ability to thrive within an organization with a degree of ambiguity and fast pace; organizational aptitude and ability to multi-task and manage a high-volume, high-visibility function.
Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and determine strategies based on data
Work environment (includes travel/on-call):
This job takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and has moderate noise.
This role will require frequent travel across North America and to the corporate office in Seattle (should candidate be remote), up to 35%.
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods and often sit at a desk in an office environment.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
