JOB TITLE: Student Recruiter
LOCATION: Potter and Tioga Counties, Pennsylvania
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Non-Exempt
PRIORITY DEADLINE: October 15, 2024
COMPENSATION: Minimum Starting Salary $42,000
DIVISION: Division of Enrollment and Student Services
DEPARTMENT: Department of Marketing and Recruitment
REPORTS TO: Assistant Director of Recruitment and Engagement
SUPERVISES: Not Applicable
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with marketing, advertising, or customer service situations
- Experience with using basic office software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience
- Experience in adult education, workforce development, or corporate training
- Familiarity with customer relationship management systems
- Knowledge of relevant funding sources for student assistance
- Knowledge of student recruitment and retention
- Experience with networking and sales, including cold calls

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish and Maintain Relationships:
- Meet with non-profits, businesses, and community organizations to learn about their organization and potential training or educational needs
- Encourage businesses to invest in and support employees and their family's enrollment in both academic and workforce development courses
- Participate in community events and deliver presentations to promote NPRC's academic and workforce education offerings
- Conduct recruitment outreach through phone calls and emails to raise awareness of NPRC's services and programs
- Active Student Recruitment:
- Stay informed about upcoming academic and workforce development offerings, enrollment procedures, and NPRC educational programs
- Build relationships with contacts at secondary school districts to educate faculty, staff, and students about NPRC opportunities
- Represent NPRC at targeted constituencies such as Chambers of Commerce, service organizations, and local government bodies
- Collaborate with other NPRC teams and departments to enhance student recruitment and advisement strategies
- Maintain prospect and organization contacts in the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM), logging all activities and communications regularly
- Actively promote NPRC's mission and cultivate a positive college culture of inclusiveness and collaboration
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of NPRC
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain the following clearances and training:
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History Record Check
- Federal Criminal History Background Check
- Training Certificate - Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania

WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:

- Work hours: This position requires work hour flexibility and varied hours, including evenings and weekends
- Full-time salaried employees are expected to work 40 hours weekly
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent daily travel throughout the College’s service region required
- Consistent access to a vehicle or reliable means to travel within the College’s service region is necessary
