Thomas Cuisine is hiring a Cashier to join our team at Minidoka Hospital!
Part time, $16/hr!
Part time; Days vary, must be willing to work evenings, weekends & Holidays!
The Cashier (Food Service) is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and customer service-driven individual. This position is a "jack of all trades" and is responsible for assisting in Catering, Utility, and Cafeteria front-of-the-house operations. Primary responsibilities include stocking merchandise, entrée service, set up and clean-up of catered events, cashier, and customer service.
What you will do:
- Welcomes and thanks guests for visiting. Ensure genuine customer service is met through an authentic friendly and professional guest interaction
- Takes orders, collects payments, makes change, sets up and maintains accurate cash drawer, completes transaction reports, and collects data for cash control.
- Operates registers, scanners, scales, and point-of-sale terminals.
- Handles exchanges and refunds quickly and efficiently.
- Memorizes menus and merchandise to answer questions about food/menu, direct guests, to stations, or make recommendations.
- Maintains a clean environment throughout a shift: cleaning stations, clearing tables, and sanitizing work areas. Handles side work at shift end as assigned; pitches in when team members need help.
- Prepares and gathers items needed for meal service, stocks refrigerators with beverages, condiments, etc.
- Follows guidelines regarding guests, food and physical safety, maintenance and equipment, and space cleaning at all times.
Who you are:
- Ability to perform basic math duties, proficient in verbal and written English language
- Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Able to adapt to changing situations
- Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
