Position Type:Food Services/Food ServiceDate Posted:8/28/2024Location:Crestwood High SchoolDate Available:2024/25 School YearClosing Date:Until FilledDistrict:Crestwood School DistrictFOOD SERVICE PART-TIME DRIVERJOB DESCRIPTION:To maintain schools and other facilities so students and employees can work in a healthy and safe environment.To work collaboratively with department and building administration.To foster an inclusive work environment, maintaining high morale.QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.Chauffeur LicenseServSafe CertificationExcellent attendance record.Fluent written and verbal English and Arabic are preferred.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to transport hot carts, equipment, food, beverages, and any needed item(s) to satellite schools as requested.Compliant with all county, state, and federal regulations for transporting and storing all food and food service supplies.Must possess county certification at all times.Ability to empty trucks, stock shelves, and store products.Follow procedures involved in the receiving, storing, and rotating various food supplies.Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing storage areas.Responsible for the preventative maintenance of all food service vehicles.Ability to track time when arriving and leaving satellite locations.Keep an inventory of food supplies and equipment.Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend any required meetings.Use computers and electronic equipment to fulfill job functions.Perform all other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor and Head Cook.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Work is characterized by the necessity for occasional physical exertion and working in the storeroom, kitchen, and freezer.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, students, and the general public.Must be able to distinguish between different chemical materials/food ingredients and must be able to read and understand label information.Knowledge of and ability to learn occasional hazards and safety precautions.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
