Hershey Medical Center is recruiting a Division Chief in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Opportunity Details: Lead a growing team, presently consisting of 16 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital. High quality academic and clinical programs in our recently constructed/expanded Children’s Hospital with primary responsibility for an 18 bed Pediatric Progressive Care Unit and 24 bed Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit which can expand by up to 8 additional beds. Interactions and team-coverage with entire complement of medical and surgical specialties. Coverage with our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation colleagues at the joint venture Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Work with robust pediatric and med/peds residency programs. Be part of a thriving health system with exciting growth prospects. Requirements: Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent. BC in Pediatrics. Minimum 5 years pediatric experience. Eligible for the rank of Associate Professor or higher. Proven leadership experience in an academic healthcare environment. A strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education, and research/scholarly activity is necessary. Community: Hershey is a suburban community in a metropolitan area and is one of the fastest growing regions in the state. The area offers excellent public schools with many districts ranking in the top 100 in the state. Hershey is approximately 12 miles from Harrisburg, the state capital, and within a short train ride or drive to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Baltimore.
