Halff is seeking a proven leader in the AEC industry to oversee our North Texas teams as a Vice President, Operations Manager in Dallas Texas. This challenging but fulfilling leadership role is an opportunity for a dynamic and multi-disciplined leader with a passion for servant leadership, driving efficiency and maximizing productivity.
Operations Manager Expectations:
Mentor and inspire your teams; Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Learn and promote all aspects of Halff culture and coordinate employee retention initiatives for your office (i.e., mentoring, training, empowerment, stay interviews, team building, etc.).
Gain and maintain a continual working knowledge of Halff management tools and resources.
Monitor project performance and key financial metrics.
Set clear expectations for performance in your office and remediate issues as necessary.
Analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Lead strategic planning and office growth by working with a diversity of discipline leaders to aggressively pursue new markets and/or services.
Track, coordinate and where appropriate become directly involved in major local marketing pursuits, submittals, and resulting contracts.
Evaluate local sponsorship and other local expenditures and coordinate approvals with the Operations Team.
Recognize and lead recruiting needs for workload in your office and coordinate with other Halff leaders to identify and recruit key hires.
Recognize the unique nature of internal workshare with other Halff offices and coordinate with Halff leaders as necessary to succeed in project delivery.
Ensure appropriate levels of QA/QC are being implemented for all project and workshare deliverables produced in your office.
Manage all HR, personnel, performance, disciplinary, compensation, legal/risk, and facility issues in your office.
Own every aspect of your office and make its success a source of pride and your number one priority.
Ensure proposals and contracts are thorough, reviewed and limit Halff’s risk/liability as appropriate.
Operations Manager Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the management of: multidisciplined production teams, business development efforts, contract preparation and negotiation, recruiting, resource allocation, leadership, and financial oversight.
Technical expertise in the AEC industry.
Established relationships and exceptional reputation in the North Texas AEC industry.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
