TITLE: Administrative Assistant

REPORTS: Program Director

FLSA CODE: Non-Exempt

PROGRAM: Edgecomb Residential Treatment Program

LOCATION: 611 Edgecomb Avenue New York, NY 10032

PAY: $45,000 - $55,000 annually

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Administrative Assistant performs clerical, secretarial and

administrative duties. When necessary, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to all program

managers, senior management and facility staff.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with answering telephones, taking messages and scheduling appointments.

2. Sort and distribute incoming and interoffice mail.

3. Type correspondence, reports, memos, etc.

4. Maintain various filing systems including all personnel records.

5. Maintain minutes for staff meetings, case conferences, community meetings, etc.

6. Track and distribute employee paychecks.

7. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings.

8. Attend all required in-service training seminars.

9. Participate in quality improvement activities.

11. Other relevant duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. High School Diploma/G.E.D with two (2) years administrative assistant and or receptionist experience.

2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

3. Must demonstrate ability to type fifty (50) words per minute.

4. Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, AWARDS, and Outlook programs).

5. Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
