Brief Job Overview
This role is a supervisory position responsible for leading acquisition and complete submission of documentary standards from key stakeholders in South Asia. The position will also support the acquisition of free of cost materials from India donors for monograph development efforts by Reference Standard (RSL) and Compendial Development laboratories (CDL).

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all monograph acquisition efforts in South Asia Region.
Identify and develop key contacts in India for acquiring documentary standards, materials and reference materials required for USP’s public standards development process, for new monographs, modernization activities, and compendial requests.
Support donor recognition efforts, including but not limited to, visits, events, ET engagement, etc., as required.
Educate, support, and assist the sponsor of a potential monograph with guidance related to USP processes, requirements, and tools.
Deliver monograph materials/components to USP for further development by Science and USP Expert Committees, in an expeditious and efficient manner.
Support Procurement Team by identifying sources of free of cost material for efforts in CDL and RSL.
Coach, mentor, and guide donations staff on standards acquisition activities.

Education:
A Scientific Professional with Bachelor / Master’s degree in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Chemistry / Biological Sciences with a business management degree/ MBA is preferred.
Experience for Manager level:
A minimum of 9 years experience with at least 5 years in a technical field (analytical background) and at least 4 years of experience in a customer facing role.
Experience for Sr. Manager level:
A minimum of 12 years experience with at least 7 years in a technical field (analytical background) and at least 5 years of experience in a customer facing role.
Basic understanding of pharmacopeia and use of compendial standards.
Basic understanding of pharmaceutical industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the pharmaceutical or Analytical R&D or bio-reagent industry and in customer facing roles.
Business management / MBA is preferred.
Candidates with Regulatory Affairs function experience is preferred.
Knowledge of project management.
Familiarity with Salesforce and Oracle EBS.
Understand standards development operations, processes and cycle.
Experience in using KPIs and metrics to increase performance, improve process and close gaps.
Expertise in performance management and benchmarking (both internal and external).
Experience in reporting on a variety of business processes and technologies.
Business analytics experience in a commercial entity a plus.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market dynamics a plus.
Organization Qualifications
Ability to synthesize, organize data/information into actionable recommendations and shareholder impact.
Previous leadership experience within a business analytics setting.
The ability to influence without direct authority.
Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes.
Ability and desire to work well with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Able to work flexible hours when needed, including travel between 40-60% of the time.
