Job Description
A highly regarded law firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking candidates for their Administrative Assistant temporary opening in Washington, D.C. This is a contract position with the possibility that it will go temp-to-perm.
- This position will work in the Business Immigration department, assisting partners with litigation matters.
- Hybrid - on-site, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Pay starts at $23/hour.
- This is a contract, temp-to-perm role.
In this role, you will:
- Manage Billing
o Handle time tracking and data entry
o Generate spreadsheets
o Assist with client invoicing
- Sort & Distribute Mail
o Open, sort and scan mail
o Review scanned mail and distribute to relevant team members
o Print and package filings for shipment
- Case Management
- Track and record deadlines
- Assist with document production
- Organize client correspondence
- Proofread and finalize documents
- Provide summaries of client calls
- General Administrative Tasks:
o Schedule meetings
o Resolve tech issues
o Format documents and photos
o Send out documents for translation/evaluation
o Create and submit expense reports
o Print jobs
Let’s talk if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Attention to detail and desire to achieve a high level of productivity
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to contribute to a positive work environment, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork
- The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate issues to when necessary
- An attitude that no task is too small
- Experience in customer facing work environments
Lawyers On Demand offers non-attorney flexible talent placement rates that range from $15 to $100 per hour depending upon experience level and specific skills requested by the client, the candidate’s general skill set, the applicability of candidate's skill set to client need, client budget, number of hours requested, and other factors. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
