IMSolutions seeks an Acquisition Training Specialist to fill exciting opportunities supporting the federal government.
This position is located in
Washington, DC, with the possibility of being remote/hybrid. As the
Acquisition Training Specialist , you will provide instruction, coaching, and training on various acquisition processes and topics to program officials and federal acquisition staff. You will become familiar with pre-existing course materials and be able to teach the course to the acquisition workforce. These functions include: Perform in-depth strategic-level research and analysis to support recommendations for new training, awareness, and coaching topics/materials. Support stakeholder engagement for identifying new training topics and provide recommendations on acquisition best practices and lessons learned to improve acquisition processes within DHS. Provide and conduct training, awareness, and coaching engagements using a variety of training mediums, including but not limited to in-person and virtual/net conferences, presentations, videos, and interactive modules. Develop new training material/content using a variety of training mediums. Support awareness of acquisition policy and procedures by maintaining accuracy and availability of content on available collaboration platforms, such as SharePoint sites. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of study (business, economics, political science, etc.) with at least ten (10) years of experience (or Master’s degree with at least seven (7) years of experience) within the acquisition field required. Experience and subject matter expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regulations and policies, including Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR) and Homeland Security Acquisition Manual (HSAM), with the ability to evaluate all official contract file documentation to determine the incorporation of meeting the FAR standard and agency standards towards effecting “sound business judgment.” Ability to train or convey technical jargon to non-technical individuals. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three (3) or more years. Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. Base compensation range and benefits: $90,000 to $120,000 - Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.
