WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE: This job contributes to Evolution Fresh Manufacturing success through daily interaction with partners working the manufacturing facility production lines, aligning with operational supervision such that shift goals are met and challenges are addressed or escalated to QA management. JOB DUTIES: Works closely with QA specialist, QE, and QA supervisor to assure shift compliance to QA systems such as instrument calibration, raw material inspection, environmental sampling, chemical control (ex. cleaning chemical titration), retain sample program, and end of line testing plans. Assures collection of non-routine samples per direction of QA manager, supervisor, specialist, or QE and assists in shipment as needed (i.e. micro testing, R&D samples, etc.). Takes the lead for formal sensory analysis and routine panel challenges on shift. Works directly with operation’s supervision to develop response plans for shift quality issues (i.e. CAR, RCA) and escalates to management as appropriate. Prioritizes QA shift resources as necessary to meet operation supervisor’s shift objectives. Works directly with QE, Specialist, QA supervisor or manager to support added unplanned and planned quality support (i.e. Instrumentation troubleshooting, lab supply control, supplier resolution, site qualifications, etc.). Serves as quality technical expert for respective shift (product exception notice information, anomalies in quality systems, etc.). Mentors and assists in on-the-job training of new hire technicians. Reviews shift’s documents that are included in CAPA program (CARs/RCAs/Rework Plans) before submittal. Works with operations supervisors to assure all GMP compliance issues are resolved in a timely manner and complete turnover is provided to oncoming shift. Must accomplish all added responsibilities while maintaining their bench work and strengths. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Minimum Qualifications: College degree with minimal 1 year experience within a quality department or High School degree with a minimal of 3 years’ experience in a GMP compliant food quality program. Experience working within a team and demonstrated ability to lead projects and/or effectively lead a team’s actions. Additional Required Qualifications: Understanding of instrumentation control processes such as calibration, replicate analysis, and review of analytical results. Experience leading projects. Ability to organize information. Effective communication skills. Proven team leadership. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively leading to effective support. Collaborative skills necessary to align multiple discipline responses. Knowledge of GMP compliance expectations. Ability to effectively gather information and communicate upward within the organizational structure and with team peers. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in QA oversight and compliance expectations. Experience dealing with critical issues and resolution of those issues using proven root cause analysis techniques. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work period.
