Job Overview:
Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Procurement Manager to join our growing Procurement group to ensure Primoris is competitively well-positioned ahead of the competition in the Utility Scale PV Market. The Procurement Manager will establish and build relationships that facilitate Primoris receiving the most competitive pricing in the market.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Ensure quality material and equipment is available to construction team when and where they need it, and to maintain competitive market advantage in accordance with overall organizational requirements and policies. Ensure proper systems and processes are established, maintained and continually improved throughout the procurement group. Own and lead the purchasing of major material commodity scopes including Inverters, Transformers, and DC collection. Use transparency, responsibility, and ethics as shared value to create long-term partnership with the supply chain. Assist in gathering and analyzing industry and market data. Monitor and improve overall performance of procurement team in accordance to company policies and KPIs. Host quarterly Commodity Reviews to highlight key market and vendor opportunities and constraints. Work with Buyers to maintain Vendor Scorecard for feedback to and from our supplier network on key components. Responsible for growth and learning of procurement team to improve overall organizational capacity. Responsible for qualification and selection of suppliers and overall performance improvement. Will lead a group of purchasing agents and buyers throughout the process of building relationships, negotiating, evaluating, conducting interviews, and managing supplier and vendor contracts. Monitor at a higher level what the company is purchasing, delivery of the product and how these products fit with the companies engineering and construction methods. Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers for the procurement of goods, services, and suppliers. Take responsibility for overall purchasing and strategic initiatives to build a competitive position. Build relationships with the project teams to understand how equipment and materials perform in accordance with our construction means and methods. Understand which equipment and materials bring our program a competitive and strategic advantage. Work with the legal group to develop contracts that fit the industry, the risk profile and the competitive landscape. Discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for negotiating outcomes that produce the best results for the company and long-term viability of the supplier. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies. Maintain supplier performance KPI and work with supplier towards continual improvement. Collaborate with Logistics Manager to ensure appropriate utilization of excess material.

Basic Qualifications: BS Degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, or Power Generation. Preference given for bilingual candidates. 10+ years of experience in Procurement. Experience in Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.) is required. Experience and skill with SAP & Viewpoint preferred. Proficient in development and adherence to procurement procedures and plans. Possess negotiation and team building skills. Multi-task and provide support to multiple clients daily. Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10-20%).
