Global Continuous Improvement Lead

The Global CI Black Belt Lead will drive the implementation of core pillars within the Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) framework. This role is designed to support operational autonomy in process management and prioritize continuous improvement through loss elimination. Reporting to the Global Director of ManEx, this role collaborates closely with plant managers, plant pillar leaders, and external consultants to ensure standardized and sustainable improvements to all plants.Autonomous Management (AM):
Drive the standardization and effective implementation of Autonomous Management across global plants. Focus on training plant pillar leaders and team members, equipping them with tools and dashboards for process and equipment management.Focused Improvement (FI):
Lead FI pillar efforts to identify, analyze, and prioritize losses. Guide plant-based leaders and pillar team members in implementing data-driven improvement projects to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.Project Evaluation:
Assess proposed improvement projects to determine where Lean or Six Sigma methodologies can be applied for enhanced impact, providing guidance on execution when appropriate.Project Kaizen (PKE) Support:
Provide oversight and alignment for Kaizen projects within the PKE framework, ensuring coordination with AM and FI goals to achieve impactful results.KPI and Dashboard Management:
Leverage Power BI to develop and monitor KPIs through operational dashboards, promoting transparency and continuous improvement in performance, reliability, and cost metrics.Training & Collaboration:
Develop and deliver training programs for AM and FI methodologies, fostering a strong partnership with the global PM pillar leader to ensure consistent standards. Actively collaborate with consultants and local leaders to support global alignment in TPM strategies.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required for this position. A focus in chemical engineering is preferred. An advanced degree in chemical or mechanical engineering is a strong plus.Five to seven years of process engineering experience are required. This experience may have been acquired in positions such as process engineer, production engineer, optimization engineer, or similar exempt-level role in a specialty chemical plant or refinery.Certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt is required.Experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and/or WCOM is required.Proven track record in implementing Autonomous Management and Focused Improvement strategies, with advanced knowledge in process optimization and loss reduction.Advanced proficiency in Power BI for KPI tracking and data visualization is required.Strong capacity to lead, influence, and train diverse, multicultural teams on a global scale, effectively promoting engagement and operational excellence is essential for success in this role.
