Olde City Quilts is hiring: Retail Sales Associate in Burlington

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Additional responsibilities include cutting fabric to specific measurements, operating POS system, and supporting store operations.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Explain products and services to customers
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
• Enter and process customer orders
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints

​Required Skills:

• Experience with sewing and/or quilting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be detail oriented.
• Have good communication skills & be an enthusiastic team player
• Assist with inventory control and processes.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Knowledge of the following a plus:

• Sewing machine brands, models, and features

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
