Mack Designer Hardware is a local, majority veteran, and family owned hardware showroom. Our showroom boasts over 4,000 square feet of high end designer and decorative hardware, from cabinet knobs to door locks and hinges. Our specialists will assist homeowners, contractors and architects to select the best hardware for their application. We are growing quickly and need additional sales consultants to grow our brand and ensure a smooth customer experience. Our showroom is the largest in the area and has one of the best selections of hardware for our customers. The hardware in our showroom ranges from “plain and simple” to the highest end hardware, featuring designer crystals and high end brand names. Overview
This position is a sales consultant role that will assist retail customers that browse the showroom, as well as answering questions for customers on the phone. As the candidate gains experience, they will be expected to assist customers on the phone, and build their own loyal customer base of contractors and architects. Other duties may include assisting with shipping and receiving. The right candidate will enjoy working with customers and problem solving to assist customers with the best functional hardware for their application. This position will start out as a part time position, but can grow into a full time position with benefits for the right candidates.
Responsibilities and Duties
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Great customer service skills
- Excellent phone skills
- End-to-end Management of order process
- Approximately 30-40 hours/week to start
- Hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturday
- Knowledge of home décor/design, locks and functional hardware is a plus
- Experience with Quickbooks is a plus
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Assist retail client in-store with selecting cabinet and/or lock hardware
- Build strong customer relationships to generate repeat sales and grow your customer accounts
- Enter orders into ordering system, and track order flow and status
- Communicate order status with customers and notify them when their orders are ready
- Assist with shipping/receiving of inventory shipments
Qualifications and Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in sales or a similar field
- An outgoing and friendly personality, strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly establish rapport with people
- Enthusiastic and confident communicator with a great phone and active listening skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $36,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
