The Attorney Talent Operations Data Specialist (“Data Specialist”) pulls and analyzes data from a variety of information systems; contributes to data projects by liaising with colleagues in Information Technology, HRIS and Enterprise Data Solutions to build dashboards and tools for data reporting and works seamlessly with other Attorney Talent team members to provide critical data analytics support for key attorney-related personnel programs and processes. Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Pulls and analyzes hours, availability and attendance reporting to support the attorney staffing process. Staffing decisions are made in conjunction with Attorney Development Managers and the Attorney Development Partners, and take into account factors such as associate utilization rates, associate professional development, partner and client needs, and larger firm goals such as diversity and inclusion and effective cross-office staffing. Provides
meaningful data-driven analyses and other administrative support to assist firm leadership with
annual review and performance management process, partnership promotion process and counsel and career attorney programs. Documents, refines, and maintains best practices and templates for data management and analysis using the firm’s reporting systems. Supports the compensation process of all non-partner attorneys, including review and manipulation of hours data, helping to set compensation packages for new and transitioning attorneys, and providing critical support for the year-end bonus process and bonus dashboard. Coordinates data logistics for the associate survey process, including Chambers and Vault. Develops and maintains tracking spreadsheets, builds ad hoc reports and assists with Attorney Talent data projects as needed. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES: Extremely detail-oriented. Conscientious, well organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative. Ability to multi-task, manage workflow, and prioritize projects effectively. Ability to work independently, under the direction of others, and as a part of a team. Flexibility in responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of firm personnel. Ability to recognize confidential information and to maintain confidentiality of such information. Proactive in learning and adapting to new systems and processes. Reliable, loyal, service-focused, and punctual. Ability to perform under stressful conditions in a thoughtful and professional manner. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree with at least three years’ experience in large law firm or similar business environment. No programming experience necessary, but must have interest in technology and data, and excellent Excel and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work products. Ability to organize information effectively and manage competing priorities. Flexibility in responding quickly to shifting demands. Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality. Facility with learning or preexisting knowledge of electronic databases and programs including PeopleSoft, LawCruit, MicroStrategy and viDesktop a plus. Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity. Boston: $69,000 - $103,000 New York: $72,000 - $108,000 Working Conditions
This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
