Our team vision is to automate the operational processes paths within our delivery stations (DS) over the next few years. We partner with Engineering and other cross-functional teams to develop, test, and deploy technologies that are innovative and financially feasible while improving productivity and reducing dependency on manual labor and improving safety. Key job responsibilities: Partner with the Engineering team to explore new technologies to automate North America (NA) Amazon Logistics (AMZL) delivery stations and lead the Supply Chain effort including supplier sourcing, selection, qualification, cost negotiation, and contractual coverage from technology development to future scaling. Influence the vision and detailed requirements for automated solutions to enable our business to automate the delivery stations within the established Return on Investment (ROI). Identify, develop, and implement Supply Chain strategy, working with cross-functional teams to ensure that strategies are executed, and effectively communicate initiatives to gain customer and supplier buy-in to drive them towards anticipated outcomes. Build mechanisms and lead initiatives to ensure that suppliers’ costs don’t extend beyond established goals. Constantly seek ways to reduce spending and demonstrate the ability to advise business owners on whether a given purchase is reasonable and justified. Determine which suppliers should be positioned for long-term contracts based on the suppliers’ overall value to the business and establish and implement standards for partnering with these suppliers. Establish supplier diversity for new technology opportunities and expand current supplier selection options accordingly. A day in the life: Our team is responsible for automating the different process paths of delivery stations and also responsible for developing the scale-up strategies for the future. Main stakeholders are WW Eng innovation and NA AMZL Eng, along with other stakeholders including the AMZL Start-up team (planning, execution), Under the Road (UTR) tech, Safety, AMZL Reliability and Maintenance Engineering (RME), and deployment. We also work very closely with the finance team on building the cost model ROI based on technology performance assumptions. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of program or project management experience. 5+ years of supply chain experience. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements. Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and familiarity with SQL. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or MBA in relevant fields. Specific experience in driving process improvements in procurement. Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex procurement systems. Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets. this link . Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
