Position Overview: We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and reliable Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage transactions accurately. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience while efficiently handling cash register operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer their questions about products, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Transaction Management: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts.
• Inventory Handling: Assist with stocking shelves, checking inventory levels, and organizing merchandise to ensure the store is well-presented.
• Compliance: Verify customers' age to ensure they meet legal drinking age requirements and adhere to all legal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, and assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the store.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues or complaints in a professional manner, escalating to management if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred, but not required.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with beer and wine products is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
• Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old due to alcohol sales regulations.

We are a trendy, upscale restaurant (that’s called The Lounge), featuring a full bar with spirits, beer, & wine, as well as an extremely fresh menu in an elegant atmosphere. Red Wine and Brew is also a banquet hall (it’s called the Loft) that caters up to 100 people for private events.
