Job Description Summary:
Manages all activities related to operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively convert confirmed customer orders into cash, while consistently meeting or beating commitments to customers and the corporation in terms of schedule, performance, and COGS.
Oversee the entire factory, including production, supply chain, and EH&S.
Set strategic goals and KPI’s for safety, operational efficiency, and increased productivity.
Identify, analyze, and sustainably improve operational execution/predictability in those areas that are deemed most critical to maximizing business growth & profitability.
Develop, define, and refine manufacturing systems & processes to support business strategy and consistently execute at desired levels.
Ensure the factory floor is consistently clean, well-organized, and easily understood by those who work here and those who visit.
Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop operations staff in ways that create maximum competitive advantage for the business.
Be an effective member of the Battery Products management team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
Seven (7) years related experience overseeing Operations in a Manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of 6S and lean manufacturing and experience implementing these principles.
Experience with ERP systems, knowledge of Infor XA is a plus.
Proficient experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job provides leadership and management to functional area(s) which may include supervision of managers and supervisors and direct supervision of other exempt and non-exempt personnel. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Salary Range: $149,600.00-$199,980.00
