Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is seeking a Joint Wargaming and Experimentation Division Chief to perform work in support of the CJCS through integration with various entities, enhancing the nation's current and future military capabilities.
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Provides the broad vision and guidance required to define and execute Joint Wargaming and Experimentation programs; Develops experimentation based recommended changes to U.S. military capabilities that are used to meet future joint force requirements; Documents wargame and overall experimentation campaign assessments and evaluation reports based on analytical rigor, through experimentation; Directs the development and maintenance of a repository of ideas, articles, studies, reports and other documents within DoD, federal or other agencies, academia, and industry for possible inclusion into joint concept development activities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
