Job Brief:
Bleakley Financial Group is looking for a Data Analyst to help shape our data architecture and enable powerful, data-driven insights. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the CTO, CFO, and FP&A teams to build scalable data models, integrate cross-platform data, and support the financial insights that drive our firm’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Roadmap for Data Processing & Validation
- Assist in defining and executing a strategic roadmap for efficient data processing and robust validation processes, working under the guidance of the CTO and other senior team members. Help establish data governance and quality standards that ensure data integrity across SaaS applications and long-term scalability.
- Data Model Architecture
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of a comprehensive data model across key SaaS platforms (e.g., Orion, Salesforce, etc.). Collaborate closely with senior staff and FP&A to align data structures with their forecasting and scenario planning needs.
- Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance
- Help design, build, and optimize data pipelines that aggregate data from multiple sources. Collaborate with the team to ensure data is accessible and consistent for reporting and analysis. Follow best practices for data governance and quality enhancing the reliability of firm-wide financial metrics.
- Automated Data Issue Resolution (Break/Fix)
- Identify, troubleshoot, and automate data validations, proactively addressing data discrepancies across systems. Implement monitoring tools to maintain high data quality, minimizing manual intervention and enabling teams to rely on accurate, validated data.
- Integration and Strategic Support
- Play an integral role in the implementation of data integrations within the Salesforce, Azure and/or AWS environments, ensuring seamless connectivity and data consistency across platforms. Act as a technical lead on data-centric projects, collaborating with FP&A, the CTO, and CFO to ensure the data infrastructure supports evolving financial and strategic reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in data analysis, Salesforce administration, data modeling, or business intelligence with a focus on financial data environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, with experience in data integration using APIs and data pipeline tools like Alteryx (highly preferred), Fivetran, Knime, or Savant Labs. Familiarity with Salesforce (including APEX for custom development), Orion, RedBlack, or similar platforms is advantageous for ensuring seamless cross-platform data flow and integration. Knowledge of BI Platforms is a plus.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics and reporting processes; experience within finance or SaaS-driven industries is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to develop, implement, and maintain scalable data structures; advanced problem-solving skills are essential.
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Salesforce Administrator, or BI platform certifications.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or Bachelor’s Degree (any field) and 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics.
