Job Description:
As a Data Analyst at Insightin Health, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making and assist in developing cutting-edge modeling solutions. You will work with diverse healthcare datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize data analysis tools, and contribute to the success of our organization through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data processing and analysis:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large healthcare data from various sources
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and insights
- Conduct statistical testing and hypothesis testing to derive actionable conclusions
- Data visualization and reporting:
- Generate summaries of results for internal and external stakeholders
- Present findings in a clear and understandable manner
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings
- Data quality assurance:
- Implement data quality checks and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements
- Translate business objectives into data analysis tasks and deliverables
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as Statistics, Data Science, or a healthcare-related discipline
- At least 1 year of industry experience working as a data analyst or in a related role
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and hypothesis testing
- Proven experience of data wrangling, data analysis, and statistical testing on large datasets
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in the healthcare industry or health plan analytics is a plus
