NYL is embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize our core Policy Admin Systems. Policy Admin Systems are the heart of how NYLife manages our customer’s Life Insurance Policies and ultimately our relationship with our customers.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Test Delivery Lead to join our team on the Policy Admin Modernization Program. This role is accountable for building and executing a multi-year, cross-function test strategy to support our Policy Admin Modernization program. They will lead a testing team focused on end-to-end system testing across dozens of applications and collaborate with testing leads across multiple business areas to validate cross-system implementation quality. They will be responsible for defining the scope of the testing, tracking testing progress, identifying blockers, and reporting progress to our Program Leadership Team.

What You’ll Do:

Create a program test strategy that outlines the approach, objectives, and priorities for testing the new policy admin system.

Socialize the test strategy within our team and with our cross-tech partners to ensure that testing scope, roles and responsibilities are correctly aligned.

Lead a testing team that will primarily build test automation and sometimes manually test the system.

Collaborate with cross-tech testing partners to validate that NYL ecosystem works as expected.

Create a program level test governance framework to provide visibility to business leadership on test coverage, risks, completion percentage and blockers.

Work collaboratively with program leadership, multiple business teams and technology partners to deliver innovative testing solutions.

Mentor and grow test team members into larger and more impactful team contributions.

What You’ll Bring:

10+ years leading large testing programs that span multiple functional areas.

Expert knowledge of testing frameworks and how to apply them within a large program.

Expert knowledge of testing management tools like PractiTest to build and track testing progress.

Extensive experience quickly analyzing current state test capability, establishing a plan to improve test capabilities, and executing on that plan to improve repeatability and quality of testing outcomes.

Proficiency in communicating with both business executives on program level testing efforts and with testing team members to ensure that they stay focused on task.

Comprehensive understanding of how to test Cloud, Distributed and Mainframe based systems.

Desired Experience:

Knowledge of Policy Admin Systems like Verisk FAST or ALIP.

Leading large testing programs for a financial services company.

Knowledge of Life Product Expected Values Testing.

Pay Transparency:

Salary Range: $125,000-$212,500

Overtime eligible: Exempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
