Description Job Summary The Master Data Analyst plays a crucial role in an organization by managing and analyzing the master data, which is foundational information that is essential for various business processes and decision-making. Job Requirements Data Management: Maintain and update master data records in databases and data management systems. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by conducting regular data audits and quality checks. Resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies promptly. Data Analysis: Analyze master data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Extract meaningful insights and provide actionable recommendations to support business objectives. Develop and maintain data models for reporting and analysis. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ownership and responsibilities. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices. Data Integration: Work with IT teams to integrate master data from various sources into centralized databases. Ensure data flows smoothly between different systems and applications. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to master data processes and procedures. Document data definitions, data lineage, and data quality rules. Reporting and Visualization: Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders. Customize reports to meet specific business needs. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data management processes and enhance data quality. Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate data-related issues, updates, and improvements to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with business units to understand their data requirements and priorities. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools and processes. Assist in resolving data-related issues and inquiries. Requirements Experience Proven experience in data analysis and data management. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices. Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus. Experience with data quality management tools and platforms. Familiarity with data modeling and database management systems. Knowledge of industry-specific master data domains (e.g., product data, customer data). Certification in data management or related fields is a plus. Education Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
