Connect with NRG on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X. Summary As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of driving data-driven decision-making for our Business marketing team. You will leverage your analytical skills and technical expertise to uncover valuable insights from complex datasets. By analyzing customer behavior, campaign performance, and market trends, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our marketing strategies and maximizing ROI. Ideal candidates will have business analytics, strategy, or marketing experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and fun environment. Responsibilities Help design and leverage a data-driven attribution methodology to establish and improve the effectiveness of marketing and campaign activity. Support customer and broker tiering initiatives; defining and refining tiers, providing tier-based insights on campaign results, customer needs, and customer satisfaction. Provide strategic recommendations to marketing, sales, and customer experience based on findings. Prepare big data and organize multiple data sources to report and create dashboards to be able to analyze data to understand which campaigns, channels, value propositions yield best ROI based on margin and CLTV. Conduct in depth research and analysis on competitive marketing activity such as competitor campaigns, content, event marketing, product launches and digital strategy. Provide guidance and recommendations based on best practices and industry trends. Work with stakeholders across sales and marketing to define an ideal target audience based on campaign objectives. Build, cleanse and prepare audience lists in support of campaigns, customer surveys and other customer communications as needed. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Preferred past experience as a strategy or marketing analyst Additional Skills 1-3 years as a marketing, strategy, or insights analyst preferably in the B2B space. Preferred experience in the power industry. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau) Preferred proficiency with CRMs (i.e. Siebel, SalesForce) and programming languages such as SQL. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and balance competing priorities and deadlines in an organized manner. Self-motivated and driven, demonstrable positive attitude. Excellent systems skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint are required. Clear appetite for learning and demonstrating a curious mind. Working Conditions Majority of work is performed by utilizing a computer in a seated position Willingness to travel occasionally (~10%) Some overtime is required as special projects arise NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
