Russell Tobin's client, an insurance and investment company is looking to hire a Sr Consultant - Business Data Analyst at Hartford, CT.
Location: Hybrid - Hartford, CT
Duration: 6 months contract
Pay Range: $50/h - $65/h on W2, DOE
What does the structure/makeup of the team currently look like?
The hire will be part of the EDS -Enterprise Data Services team dedicated to MLC business unit. The team works on Invest/Strategic projects to support Data & Analytics for MLC business unit. The hire will report Delivery Lead/RTE. The hire will typically work in a Agile Scrum team consisting of Scrum master, Product Owner, Tech lead, Business Data Analyst (current hire position), multiple Data Engineers (onshore & offshore) and Quality Analyst.
What will this contractor be accomplishing for your team?
The Sr Consult Business Data Analysis hire will understand business requirements for the project/program and pursue data analysis to study feasibility of solution, create and document mapping/transformation logic, derivations needed to transform/curate data for warehousing and reporting needs. The Hire will also support data analysis and reviews to support research needed for troubleshooting issues/defects. Refer to Job description for more details.

The Sr Consult Bus Data Analysis is a crucial role in the lifecycle of data transformation. The role provides necessary research and clarity for developers/data engineers to build actual solutions for data and analytics use cases. In this role the hire will work very closely with their peers (Business Analysts, Performance analysts, Product Owners) in other systems to understand business requirements thereby creating visibility across the board.
Describe your expectations for training once a worker starts and expected ramp up.
A training plan including Knowledge transfer sessions and shadowing exiting Business data analysts will be created to support ramp up of the new hire.

- Data Warehouse concepts.
- SQL.
- Data Analysis and ETL Mapping Techniques.
