Senior Logistics and Sustainment Support Analyst
for a prime contract in support of our government customer in Washington, D.C. and we would love to have you join our team!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide logistics expertise on a wide range of activities and missions supporting fixed, mobile, and portable systems for border security.
Collect, monitor, and track deployed system performance.
Identify, report, and assist with the resolution of operation and support deficiencies.
Develop strategies to optimize system performance.
Prepare for and participate in system CCBs and support the planning and implementation of system engineering changes.
Support input for operations and maintenance budget formulation and reporting.
Support development of Resource Allocation Plan (RAP), Congressional Justifications, funding allocation and tracking, system cost and performance measures.
Prepare for and participate in technical interchange meetings.
Develop briefing materials, meeting agendas, minutes, and tracking action item resolution.
Provide ILS input in the development of requirements for new systems, review of current program documentation and support environmental and real estate planning.
Support the development of training documentation to include the requirements for training and an evaluation process for lifecycle logistics and technical training.
Integrate the separate functions of planning or implementing a logistics management program. Analyze and identify logistical and readiness issues and develop courses of action for solutions.
Facilitate Working Group meetings between senior representatives from multiple stakeholder agencies and customers.
Provide quality assurance oversight of contractor logistics support (CLS) activities and reconcile contractor maintenance data with government collection system data.
Liaise with CBP Component and Functional organizations for rapid integration and coordination of stakeholders who own and control property where systems will be deployed.
Prepare minutes for working groups, action item lists, and trip reports.
Maintain records via network shared drives and SharePoint.
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a candidate with an advanced degree with a minimum of 10 years of direct relevant experience in DoD or DHS logistics support operations.
This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals with superior customer interface skills, demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, the ability to plan and organize work, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of CBP and DHS regulations, principles, and practices pertaining to logistics support functions as well as knowledge of program planning, funding, and logistics management information systems.
Knowledge of a wide variety of logistics support activities including, but not limited to, determination of fund requirements; supply support systems development and, the integration of supply, transportation, maintenance, and other logistics support activities.
Knowledge of database creation and usage is mandatory.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required. Schedule risk assessment and business analysis software experience is also desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
DHS or DoD Logistics Certifications desired.
Knowledge of DHS and CBP organizations and logistics processes is highly desired.
Experience with DHS joint operations, DHS acquisition policy, DHS systems engineering lifecycle is highly desired.
Clearance requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS public trust prior to starting.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.
