Data Visualization Analyst Job at Apogee Integration in Mc Lean

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph required Note: Some but not all positions require existing full scope polygraph Position Seeking data analysts with experience and interest in data visualization - Tableau Analyst What You'll Do Help organizations find meaning and value from multiple data sources and make the key information clearly visible to impact customer missions. Analysts work across the whole spectrum of a data rich programs: Developing prototype dashboards to iteratively assist users in developing concepts, key metrics and requirements for production products Understanding and defining schemas and data models to structure data to support analysis Building and refining visualizations and dashboards according to best practices to convey critical information Enriching data sets with statistical methods and AI/ML models Understanding and refining/automating program processes Integrating visualizations with existing databases and systems Required Experience with the following tools and processes highly desired: Tableau Desktop and Server ideal, but experience with QLIK, PowerBI, or other visualization tools helpful Relational database queries with SQL Relational database modeling and schema design Tableau Prep Builder or related ETL tools and processes Desired Additional valuable experience can include some of the following: Experience with data visualization principles and best practices Scripting languages such as Python, R, JavaScript Experience with a relational database such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server or MariaDB Experience with "big data" systems or non-traditional databases such as Apache Spark, Hadoop HIVE, Cloudera Impala, Neo4J Understanding of basic statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics and simple linear regression Familiarity with some AI/ML approaches such as k-means clustering Familiarity with geospatial data sources, file formats and tools, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, shape files, geometries Familiarity with federal budget processes Familiarity with some IC missions and systems Experience with Agile team systems such as JIRA, Confluence or related tools What You'll Love About Apogee Challenging work in support of US Intel Community - a Mission that Matters!
