SCHEDULE: FLEXIBLE START AND END TIMES - 7:00AM TO 4:00PM, 7:30AM TO 4:30PM, OR 8:00AM TO 5:00PM
THIS POSITION WILL BE 100% ON-SITE FOR THE FIRST 1-3 MONTHS, THEN A HYBRID SCHEDULE IS AVAILABLE, WORKING 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK.
NO RELOCATION OFFERED. ALL CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO HOUSTON, TX.
ICP BONUS: 10%
JOB ROLE: As a key member of the Operational Excellence Group, this position involves leveraging a strong background in analytics, consulting, and project management to drive process improvements and automation within the Aftermarket/Manufacturing domain.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand system relationships for the Aftermarket/Manufacturing and related processes, utilizing Python for data extraction and manipulation.
- Evaluate Aftermarket (Spares/Service/Repair) business processes, anticipating requirements, identifying improvement areas, and utilizing Python for data analysis and process optimization.
- Assist in developing and implementing systems solutions for process improvements and automation within the Operational Excellence group
- Provide supporting evidence using advanced analytics to guide the business user community.
- Assist and documenting change requirements for future process changes/improvements.
- Report ongoing business issues relating to processes/systems, leveraging Python for data-driven insights and reporting.
- Assist senior management to provide strategic direction and developing, implementing, and monitoring goals, objectives, priorities, and procedures relating to the organization, using Python for data-driven decision-making.
- Understand the Aftermarket (Spares/Service/Repair) strategy and working toward continuous business process improvements based on immediate and future business needs, utilizing Python for data analysis and process innovation.
- Apply process innovation to overcome organizational problems and drive efficiency.
- Complete set tasks within the Operational Excellence group's work areas, leveraging Python for data analysis and process optimization.
- Assist with design and reports with metrics used to demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness, identifying roadblocks, and assessing impact to project plans, using Python for data analysis and reporting.
- Develop priorities and communicate with support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as require.
- Participate in training where required.
- Contribute to general improvements in the quality and key activities of the department/area.
- Carry out job requirements in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
- Be safety conscious and report any safety hazards to HSE.
- Responsible for and the authority to maintain and promote a safe working environment in accordance with the appropriate HSE procedure(s).
- Participate in actions which promote a safety and quality culture within NOV.
- Comply with all NOV Company and Quality, Health Safety Environmental polices & procedures.
- Ensure compliance of the company?s overall objectives
- Other duties as assigned by management and leadership within operational excellent group.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a business process-related role, with a strong background in consulting, project management, and Python for data analysis and automation.
- Exceptional conceptual thinking skills, with a global mindset and expertise in Python for data analysis and process optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and process optimization, with a solid proficiency in Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel. Proficiency with Excel formulas, pivot tables, and graphing
- Strong IS skillset in non-Microsoft applications, for data analysis, automation, and visualization
- Experience with different methods for dealing with large, multi-dimensional data sets, including relational databases, SQL, and ETL
- Highlight critical path activities that can affect project deadlines/deliverables
- Maintain a high degree of situation awareness, leveraging Python for data analysis and insight generation.
- Arrange remote meetings and work groups with business leaders and/or SMEs in a matrixed organization
