We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst III who will play a vital role in maximizing the value of data while minimizing data risk across the enterprise by maturing our Data Governance Program. In this position, you will work closely with stakeholders across Business, Data, Technology, and Analytics teams to analyze and translate business goals and workflows into Data Governance solutions that align with our organizational objectives. This role requires someone who is dynamic, self-motivated, and has experience in establishing Data Governance programs in complex environments and with global stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing solution strategies related to data governance and metadata management Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to establish and enforce standards for data quality, classification, retention, privacy, and security that ensure integrity and the appropriate treatment of data assets Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to design processes that integrate data governance controls, policies, and procedures into day-to-day operations for cloud and on-premises data platforms Lead implementation workstreams to deliver data governance tools and technologies that support data management initiatives and effective decision-making Contribute to ongoing Data Governance Program strategy by analyzing existing implementation patterns, goals, stakeholders, milestones, and providing suggestions for improved efficiency and effectiveness Create program artifacts to support the implementation of data governance solutions/procedures and elicit business buy-in and participation: roadmaps, process flows, project plans, etc. Inform operational and strategic program prioritization by providing thought leadership and analysis that highlights dependencies, risks, gaps, and opportunities Lead data classification, retention, privacy, security, and compliance projects to minimize enterprise data risk or issues Pro-actively identify data opportunities and issues, implement corrective measures, and establish mechanisms for ongoing improvement Champion organizational behavior changes as it relates to the use of data and the data managed as an asset Bring a forward-looking mindset and provide a holistic perspective to all interactions and deliverables Identify project implementation road-blocks and propose mitigation strategies as needed Knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful: Familiarity with current sales, operational, finance, and project management SaaS tools Familiarity with Data Management and storage solutions like Snowflake, DBT, Five Tran, Data Catalogs, Data Quality tools Ability to understand desired business issues and develop proposals for Data Governance solutions Advanced knowledge of business analysis best practices including documentation requirements for large bodies of work Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas in support of strategic outcomes Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with program leadership, subject matter experts and key stakeholders Ability and willingness to recognize work that needs to be completed, to seek out additional assignments or tasks, and to help others Strong analytical skills, business intuition, and organizational ability Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and complex matrixed work environment Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances Excellent meeting facilitation skills, must be able to drive groups to decisions Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Background and Required Experience Requires at least 5 years of experience working in Data Governance (ideally in a technology organization) Minimum 2 years of experience as a business analyst or program analyst Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Prior experience working in a large scaled Agile environment, particularly familiar with Scrum practices Preferred - Training / certification in IIBA CBAP, Data Management certifications, CIPP/E/US. #LI-DC1 The Job Description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and requirements of the job. The annual base pay for this position is: $108,441.00 - $162,661.00 F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change. You may also be offered incentive compensation, bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
