The Million Dollar Round Table is seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong focus on data analysis to join our IT team. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders and the data team to gather requirements, understand data architecture, and deliver insightful reports using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python. You will be responsible for ensuring that our data-driven initiatives are aligned with business goals and supporting informed decision-making through effective reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and requirements for reporting, business intelligence, and data analysis. Facilitate meetings and discussions to elicit requirements and drive consensus.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct thorough requirements analysis for both business processes and data needs. Document, prioritize, and communicate requirements to both business and technical teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Business Process Improvement: Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions that improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance decision-making. Recommend changes and ensure successful implementation of new processes.

Data Architecture Understanding: Work with the data team to understand and contribute to the overall data architecture, ensuring that reporting and data solutions are scalable, aligned with organizational needs, and integrate effectively with existing systems.

Report Creation and Data Visualization: Design and build reports and dashboards using Power BI, providing actionable insights that support data-driven decisions across the organization.

SQL and Python Proficiency: Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases. Use Python for advanced data analysis, automation, and custom reporting solutions when needed.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, data engineers, and other technical teams to ensure that data is structured and managed effectively, aligning with both business and technical requirements.

Project Management Support: Support project management efforts by assisting with planning, tracking deliverables, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project execution.

Testing and Validation: Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on developed reports, dashboards, and other data solutions. Ensure that they meet business expectations and provide accurate and relevant insights.

Documentation and Communication: Document business and technical requirements, processes, and solutions clearly. Communicate insights, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within both the business analysis and data reporting workflows. Propose and implement enhancements to improve overall efficiency, data quality, and user experience.

Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to business users, ensuring they can effectively leverage Power BI reports, dashboards, and other data solutions.

Business Intelligence Delivery: Assist in delivering business intelligence solutions by partnering with the data team to transform raw data into meaningful insights that meet the needs of the end users.

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.

·       3+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on both traditional business processes and data analysis/reporting.

·       Proficiency in Power BI for creating reports and dashboards.

·       Strong understanding of SQL for querying databases and data manipulation.

·       Experience with Python for data analysis and automation.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

·       Experience collaborating with technical teams, including data engineers and IT, in a cross-functional environment.

·       Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into both process improvements and data solutions.

·       Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall is a plus.

·       Certifications in business analysis or data-related fields (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, IIBA, or data analytics certifications) are a plus.
